Courses in Kinesiology

Are you interested in training in Kinesiology as a new career or to perhaps to add a whole different dimension to your already established wellbeing practice? Then look no further. Coming soon will be the opportunity to attend one of my courses in Hertfordshire. Please contact me if you are interested in finding out more.

What's involved?

This course is accredited by the Kinesiology Association (KA) and will be based mainly on techniques which have been discovered and developed by the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK). In addition, they incorporate recent discoveries and techniques developed by other Kinesiologists.  Although there is a common core syllabus for the Foundation Course and Diploma Course, each School has its own style of teaching and resources which enable students to become professional practitioners in Kinesiology.

The Foundation Course–Modules 1-6 is generally taught over 6 weekends/ 12 days (other formats such as one-to-one and intensive training can also be arranged directly. This course is suitable for:

*Complete beginners to natural health who may wish to go on to train as professional Kinesiologists.

*Complete beginners to natural health who want tools and techniques to help themselves or their friends and family.

*Practitioners of other modalities who feel they would like additional skills to complement their existing modality.

Completing the foundation course enables students to decide whether Kinesiology is suitable for them as a vocation. At this level, practitioners would NOT be able to call themselves a Kinesiologist and the next steps would be to enter into the Diploma training run by other course tutors across the country.  There is homework as part of the foundation course which includes questions to answer and case studies which will be explained on each module. Students have 2 months to complete the homework from the completion of module 6 if not already handed in. An extension to this time maybe considered if a serious reason arises which causes a delay. It is estimated that the time commitment in addition to the 12-days attendance is in the region of 3-4 hours a week. There is also a practical assessment and multiple-choice exam on the final module. Provided all the homework is complete and the assessment passed, students will be issued with a completion certificate enabling them to take the next steps.

There is the opportunity to take an extra module 7, but is optional and has been added for consolidating the techniques you have learned. It will help to grow your confidence and to open your curiosity and creativity with the knowledge you have gained. It also covers what you will need to do to start working with and charging clients a small fee from a professional business point of view. Module 7 is an additional cost and is essential if you are not an existing Practitioner of another modality who wants to be able to charge clients for a treatment -particularly if you are not planning on doing the Diploma Course straight away. Speak to your Tutor who will be happy to discuss further.
